Tour de Fleece 2012

I’m participating in the Tour de Fleece again this year.  I decided this year would be the year I finish some of my WIPs.

I had a lot of items started on spindles, but I decided a while ago that I just prefer using a wheel and the spindles didn’t get used.

I’ve now sold all but one of the spindles from the previous post and what had been spun has been wound off onto storage rolls (that’s loo rolls to you and me!)

TdF Fibre

  • Top left is a popular merino blend called ‘Wildberry’.  I have a total of 238 grams of this, 21g has already been spun!
  • Top right is more of the blend but this one is ‘Heavenly’.  I have 100g of this and 23g of it is spun.
  • Middle left is faux cashmere, it doesn’t have a name. I have 100g and 7g is spun.
  • Middle right is a merino and silk blend from Sara’s Texture Craft called ‘Blackberry’.  I have 200g and 100g is spun.
  • Bottom left is Shetland from The Thylacine called ‘My Island Home’.  I have 200g of this and 2g has been spun.
  • Bottom right is a blend of merino, silk, nylon and stirling silver from Sparkleduck.  I have 100g of this and 41g has been spun.

I highly doubt I will get all this spun in three weeks – I spin lace by default, but hey; it’s all about fun, right?
