First Tour de Fleece yarn

It’s Tour de Fleece time again and I’ve been spinning pretty much non stop.

I decided that I would finish projects already started and I finished the first one today.

Wheels in motion!

This is a little collage. It shows the yarn being spun on my Ashford Joy, Sherry The Cherry watching a bit of Wimbledon and the finished yarn. The top two pictures are actually action shots – not bad for an iPhone camera!

The fibre was merino/nylon/sterling silver and I navajo plied it.  I ended up with 519.6m/568.3y in total.

The fibre was originally given to me by Claire as she had some kind of reaction to it.  I spun it and then Rachel wondered, aloud, if it might be something the fibre was washed/rinsed in that caused Claire’s reaction as she has had no problem working with merino or nylon and wears sterling silver jewellery.

She’s taken the finished yarn home to wash it in her water with her shampoo and she’s going to try and knit with it.

If she has another reaction; she’s going to send it back LOL
