A few FO’s

I have been woefully negligent about updating my blog lately and I have a few finished bits to show you.

Gale Socks

Here are Gale Socks – a nice knit, but I had to do a lot of fudging to make the damn things fit as the cables made them really tight – I must’ve knit the gussets six times! Knit with Stellar Sock yarn in Wine from Literally Yarns.

Cheery Littlebottom

These are my ‘Cheery Littlebottom’ socks, named after a dwarf from Terry Pratchett Discworld books. I really enjoyed making these and they’re really pretty! The yarn is Knitting Goddess SparkLynne4ply in Bridgewater Blue.

Nothing Is True

I also had a go at Double Knitting and spent a happy few hours making the Assassin’s Creed symbol which has been appropriated by Matt LOL

Everything Is Permitted

Harvest Dew

While on holiday, I finished Harvest Dew, an extremely easy knit and works great with variegated yarns. The yarn is some bamboo stuff I was given.

Then Elle asked me to test knit another sock for her – this one is Rhapsody and the yarn is one of mine – Wight Walker in Green with a Black Flash.  Nice pattern to knit and very effective to look at.

Then I completely broke away from socks and made this gorgeous sweater with owls on – I have yet to sew buttons on for the eyes, but it won’t be long until I do that.  I love this sweater, although I’m considering re-knitting the yoke ribbing in a 5mm needle instead of the 6mm to give it more grip!

I love that there are Cheery Littlebottom socks, genius name.
Owl sweater looks fantastic. Am still amazed at the speed you knitted it.
